The members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon understand that academics is a central concern during the college experience. With a minimum GPA requirement and a stimulating intellectual environment, Sigma Alpha Epsilon motivates its members to excel within the classroom. This past year, we have maintained a 3.28 GPA, well above the all men's and fraternity average. The academic interests of brothers span the various schools and majors of the University of Kansas. This diversity breeds learning experience outside the classroom on a daily basis.
All members are required to keep at least a 2.7 GPA average, thus creating a culture of success. In order to complete this, members regularly help each other with complicated material and spend time at the library with other members in similar majors.
The Phi Alpha Education Foundation (PAEF) is a 501 (c) (3) charitable non-profit organization established in the state of Kansas to enhance the education and educational opportunities of members of the Kansas Alpha Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the University of Kansas. As such, the PAEF offers scholarships to members to reward and encourage academic success.
